How does this benefit others?

  • We provide t-shirts for people for cheap prices.

How are you using technology?

  • Kiersten and Elaine use technology to create the transparencies and then Erica and I use them to create the screens to print the shirts. We also used technology to print the vinyl to heat press those shirts.

Learning:

  • This semester we learned a new method to make shirts with vinyl. We used this method to finish Erica’s volleyball marathon shirts and the Generals shirts pictured above because we were short on time and were having troubles with the screens. It benefitted out project by being able to get the shirts done quickly and they looked great. We used the vinyl, the printer, and the heat press for this method.

May 26th

Quarter Goal: Fill at least three orders and keep screens ready to be burned.

Original Plan for the Week: Start the Generals shirts.

Changes: We had problems with the screens so we weren’t able to start printing.

Daily Log:

  • Monday: Nothing.
  • Tuesday: Nothing.
  • Wednesday: Burned the screen the first time.
  • Thursday: Taped the screen, test printed the shirts and realized they were messed up.
  • Friday: Tried to burn the screen for the second time and failed and then blogged.

Plan for Next Week: Print the shirts.

May 12th

Quarter Goal: Fill at least three orders and keep screens ready to be burned.

Original Plan for the Week: Start the Generals shirts.

Changes: The design wasn’t printed and there were no clean screens so we didn’t start anything.

Daily Log:

  • Monday: Listened to Rodney Davis talk.
  • Tuesday: Nothing- waiting on screens and design.
  • Wednesday: Nothing- waiting on screens and design.
  • Thursday: Caught up on last week’s blog and played hang man.
  • Friday: Blogged.

Plan for Next Week: Emulsion screens and start printing generals shirts.

May 5th

Quarter Goal: Fill at least three orders and keep screens ready to be burned.

Original Plan for the Week: Work on whatever Mr. Updegraff has for us and possibly start the Generals shirts.

Changes: There was nothing ready to be printed so we didn’t start anything.

Daily Log:

  • Monday: Cleaned the striking out cancer screens and the peter pan screens.
  • Tuesday: Cleaned the printing station.
  • Wednesday: Nothing- waiting on generals design and screens.
  • Thursday: Nothing- waiting on generals design and screens.
  • Friday: Absent (APUSH test)

Plan for Next Week: Start generals shirts.
